Master Lumsden has a long, rich history in the martial arts.  His accomplishments include:

 

· 38 years in the Martial Arts, 33 years teaching

· Started training in martial arts (Lung Fu Do Karate) in 1972

· Black Belt in Lung-Fu-Do Karate, August, 1977

· Taught Lung Fu Do System from 1977-1983

· Attended seminars and began training in Jeet Kune Do, Eskrima, Muay Thai and Integrated Grappling, 1983-1996

· Began training in Filipino Martial Arts (Lameco Eskrima & Inosanto/Lacoste Method), Jeet Kune Do and Integrated Grappling under Sifu Tom Clark (under the auspices of Sifu/Guro Larry Hartsell) 1996-2003.

· Began personal training with GM Richard Bustillo in Cacoy Doce Pares Eskrima, Jeet Kune Do, Boxing & Muay Thai and Catch Wrestling, August 1999.

· Hosted yearly IMB seminars, 2000 - Present.  (Official Maryland Representative for GM Bustillo's International Martial Arts & Boxing)

· Apprentice Instructor under Sifu/Guro Larry Hartsell, August 2001 (Included Lameco & Inosanto Eskrima, JKD, Boxing and Grappling)

· Began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu,  2002 - Present

· Apprentice Instructor under GM Richard Bustillo, June 2003. (Includes Cacoy Doce Pares, JKD, Wrestling, Boxing & Muay Thai)

· Associate Instructor under Sifu/Guro Larry Hartsell, August, 2003 (Included Lameco & Inosanto Eskrima, JKD, Boxing and Grappling)

· Co-Moderator and instructor, Archbishop Curley Martial Arts (First high school level martial arts program in Maryland - teaching Cacoy Doce Pares Eskrima, JKD, Integrated Grappling, Boxing and Muay Thai), 2003-Present

· Full Instructor under GM Richard Bustillo, May, 2004  (Includes Cacoy Doce Pares, JKD, Wrestling, Boxing & Muay Thai)

· Senior Instructor under GM Richard Bustillo, June, 2006  (Includes Cacoy Doce Pares, JKD, Wrestling, Boxing & Muay Thai)

· Doce Pares Martial Arts Hall of Fame, Most Valuable Instructor of the Year 2008.

· International Martial Arts Hall of Fame (International Martial Arts Council) inductee, 2010
