National Training Camp 2008
The IMAC 2008 National Training Camp was a huge success. Martial artists from around the country gathered in Nashville TN to join in a celebration of the martial arts. Grand Master Thomas Mitose headlined an all-star cast of instructors who shared a wealth of knowledge with campers from around the globe.
We were also honored to have several original members of the Black Dragon Fighting Society to gather for a special reunion at the IMAC National Training Camp. Many of these senior members had not been together in one location in over 30 years, and the Camp attendees were honored to spend some time with these living legends of the martial arts.
Sensei Fred Mastison also presented another excellent Defensive Tactics Instructor Certification Course to law enforcement personnel and martial arts/self-defense instructors from across the U.S. The ForceOptions instructors worked tirelessly to provide a comprehensive, practical course for those who protect and defend our cities and our country.
Other instructors included Daniel Semeraro (MMA), Clarence Smith (Tang Soo Do), Joseph Dodaro (Poison Hands), Don Wilhelm (Kenpo), Marty Cale (Ju-Jitsu), Don Hutton (Knife), Johnny Thompson (Tang Soo Do), Oj Guerra (Knife), Ron Pierce (Kajukenbo) and Dr. Gary Jameson.
Professor Cale announced plans to host a National Kid’s Camp to coincide with the 2009 National Training Camp, with hope of having at least 100 participating youth martial artists in the Camp.
